I2C Tools project contains a heterogeneous set of Linux tools. I2C Tools project contains a set of tools heterogeneous Linux: a bus probing tool, a chip dumper, register-level access helpers in EEPROM decoding scripts and plus.Le various tools included in this package are grouped by category, each category has its own subdirectory: Perl scripts · eeprom to decode different types of EEPROMs (SPD EDID ...) These scripts rely on the eeprom "kernel driver. They are installed by default. · Eeprom tools for writing into EEPROM. These tools rely on i2c "-dev" kernel driver. They are installed by default.INSTALLATION: There is no configure script, so simply run "make" to build the tools, and "make install" to install them. You can also use "make uninstall" to remove all the files you have installed. By default, files are installed in / usr / local, but you can change this behavior by editing the Makefile and settingprefix wherever you want. You may change the C compiler and compiler flags as well.Optionally, you can run "make strip" before "make install" if you want smaller binaries. However, be aware that this will prevent any further attempt to debug programs.
