A graphical utility for transferring files between a PC and a Z88 computer. Z88transfer is a graphical utility for transferring files between a PC and a Z88 computer, but an old 8-bit laptop from Clive Sinclair. Z88transfer was written in Python and uses PyGTK. It is designed to run on Linux but should run under Windows and MacOS X with very little (if any modifications.Z88transfer) 's main advantage over other programs is that it can import and export seamlessly from AbiWord Pipedream, and vive-versa, during the transfer itself. It is: if you send an Abiword file from your PC, you will receive the Z88 has converted PipeDream format, and if you send a file from your Z88 PipeDream, your PC will receive the converted to Abiword format. This allows you to work directly with all of your files without worrying about having to convert to and from format. It PipeDream can emulate Foreign Characters (such as, and so on) from an English keyboard too and convert them into real characters when the file is exported to Abiword. This is called "Pseudotranslation. Currently it fully supports the PCLINK protocols and IMP-EXPORT (EAZYLINK is supported in theory, but has not been tested. Fortunately, the program supports the protocol EazyLink PCLINK too). Z88transfer is written in Python with PyGTK, so you need both (and pyserial) to work with her.
