libsynaptics is a library designed to support all future versions of the driver Xorg Synaptics Touch Pad Driver. libsynaptics is a library designed to support all future versions of the driver Xorg Synaptics Touch Pad Driver. Programs that want to access the touch pad should make use of this library and what not preclude the other. Available parameters can be read and written and the driver version installed can be determined. It is not yet clear whether libsynaptics will be distributed separately or in the driver package (which seems to be the best solution for me). What's new in this version: A new version of libsynaptics ksynaptics and is now available. This version fixes several bugs and breaks backward compatibility with earlier versions libsynaptics.
