Virtual Brent VBTK Toolkit is a toolbox for generic system monitoring.VBTK is a collection of modules that can be used to build a complex monitoring system is completely written in perl. This system of monitoring skills are, for now, essentially limited to Solaris Unix servers. But it also supports monitoring through SNMP, HTTP, SMTP, POP3, etc., and the frame can easily be extended. Other modules will be added over time. See sections below on File System Layout, Environment Variables, Server and control modules and data collection Modules.Note toolkit that VB is just a group of modules. You write the Perl program that will end you. But do not be discouraged, everything is outstanding and quite simple, if the final perl program is generally very simple. In addition, there are numerous examples and models to copy.
